Triangle Transit service changes are coming! Are you affected?
I went shopping this weekend and much to my 13-year-old cousin’s chagrin, the Back-to-School sales and signs are out in full force. Retailers, teachers, and students aren’t the only ones who should take notice– in addition to the new school year, August brings some service changes for many area transit systems that can impact bus riders. In the near future, I’ll post more information about other area providers, but first here’s the skinny on Triangle Transit’s upcoming changes (click on the route name for the what, when, where and why).
Route 100 – Eliminate Innovation Dr at Time Warner Cable bus stop.
Route 303 –Add NEW Saturday service between Cary and Raleigh. Eliminate several stops on Wilmington St and Salisbury St during weekday mid-day trips.
Route 420 –Add trips during peak commute times. Eliminate funding for mid-day trips (Orange County is proposing to maintain two mid-day trips).
Route KRX –Change routing to serve new stops in Knightdale and Raleigh (some stops will be eliminated). Eliminate first AM trip from Raleigh to Knightdale and last PM trip from Knightdale to Raleigh.
Route WRX –Eliminate all mid-day trips, two trips in AM from Raleigh to Wake Forest, and two trips in PM from Wake Forest to Raleigh
Route ZWX (after clicking on the link scroll down to the second page)– Eliminate first two trips in AM from Raleigh to Zebulon, and last trip from Zebulon to Raleigh in PM. Serve new stop on New Bern Ave and new stops on Salisbury St (some stops will be eliminated).
